During the winter months, the days are short, weather patterns bring frigid temperatures, and the sun is rarely warm. As cyclists, it is key that we keep warm during these winter months while training so that we avoid injury, and illness. When I know the temperature for a given training day won’t rise past 60*F, I look forward to bundling up and throwing on my Jakroo Hammer Thermal Bib Tights. I know that this cycling garment will keep my knees, legs, and butt toasty warm and happy throughout a long training ride.
I have always been a fan of thermal bib tights. In my experience, when it is cold outside, they prevent my legs from feeling like cold and stiff useless noodles. Tights are extremely comfortable, and they need no adjustment while riding as they are one piece. They are also usually lined with skin friendly, warm material that does not cause chafing. These are both attributes which some leg warmers lack.
So far, the Jakroo Hammer Thermal Bib Tights are the best and highest quality tight that I have encountered. My favorite aspect of these tights is that there is a quality chamois sewn right into them—the same chamois that we have in our outstanding solar pro bib shorts. In the past I have had bib tights which have no chamois built in and need to be worn over bib shorts. I find this as a downside; the tights material layered over normal bib shorts can be too thick and restrictive–at times even causing chafing. Jakroo solved this problem sewing the chamois in the tights. Another phenomenal aspect of these tights is the long zipper near the ankle. This zipper makes it easy to take the tights off after a long tiring day in the saddle. (Sidenote: My tights are so cozy I could stay in them for hours after training!).
The Hammer Thermal Bib Tight is a cycling garment that every cyclist should get familiar with during the cold winter months—they make cycling on beautiful fall and winter days that much more enjoyable. -Jacob Albrecht.
