Ryan Moore on the ELEMNT Bike Computer by Wahoo Fitness
I was so excited to try the ELEMNT, as there really hasn’t been anything new, innovative, or exciting in the world of cycling computers in the last few years.
Out of the box I was impressed by the look, hand-feel, and overall aesthetic of the device.
This was soon eclipsed by the ease of use and intuitiveness of set up. I can’t stress this enough: setting up zones, and especially training pages on other computers has been such a clunky and frustrating process. However, on the ELEMNT, everything: set up, training pages, alerts etc is done from the phone app. I was blown away with how easy and hassle free it was to get my settings just right.
The super crisp display is easy to read and the zoom function is a such a creative way to be able to quickly see the data you want at a glance and adjust where and what you want to see quickly. I can only imagine how much easier it will be to see and adjust when I’m seeing stars during a race or intervals!
Another very intuitive function is the syncing to third party apps (training peaks, strava and more). Uploading my rides is a breeze, and also every route I create on strava is available for use instantly.
This is truly the next level of computers, I’m so happy to be able to use the ELEMNT, Wahoo has clearly put a ton of thought into the product and have addressed and solved so many of the shortcomings of other devices in the industry.
