Menlo Park is a well run criterium on the Premeir Series calander. The course is always windy, not too technical, has some bumpy pavement, and a tends to bring out some really good racers. Going into the event, I only had a few point lead on Roman Kilun in the Premeir Series, so I felt I needed to pay some attention to him. Also in attendance was Nate English, who has the power to drag back any break that he is not part of – and that is just what he did, so it came down to a field sprint in which Mike’s Bikes controlled and won. I ended up 5th.
Bummed with my result, I entered the Masters race and got away with 3 other riders about half way. On the last lap I was lucky enough to jump away and soloed in for the win.
