For the past 11 years, I have hosted a small, underground ride called The Nifty Ten Fifty. Years ago, I came up with the idea of trying to fashion a ride in the hills of the East Bay, in Berkeley, and Oakland, California, that featured 10,000′ of climbing in just 50 miles. The inaugural event was held in 2002.
This year Peloton Magazine contacted me about doing a short film on the event, which takes place the first Sunday in April every year. Needless to say, I was thrilled about the project as Peloton Magazine is a legit operation, and the fact that they were interested in my quirky little ride was, well, pretty nifty.
